Description: The Tesoro Tejon is able to "see" to incredible depths to find those deep targets. Considered one of the BEST relic machines available. With a high output transmit oscillator to push the signal deeper, and increased gain for more sensitivity to smaller objects. At 17.5kHz, and with MAXBoost sensitivity, a dual ED180 discriminator, and a 3 3/4 turn manual ground balance control, in a very lightweight housing, the Tejon will find those Civil War buttons and miniballs deeper than you can imagine.

The Tejon Is For Serious Treasure Hunters

The Tejon was made for people who are serious about ALL TYPES of quality finds (it’s NOT just a relic machine).

But it’s really not a “tot lot” machine although one could use it for that purpose.

Using the Tejon with stock coil set high in sensitivity to hunt shallow clad is like using sticks of dynamite to bring of fish from a backyard pond. I’d seriously recommend the Compadre or Silver uMax for the “tot lots.”

I’ve owned several Tejons and have spent many hours using a couple of them. I like changing machine often only because I get a big kick out of trying the different brands and models.

I have never sold a Tejon due to poor performance.

In my area good finds are difficult to find with any machine. So, about 50% of my hobby fun is testing detectors.

The Tejons I’ve owned have found deep buckles, buttons, coins, tokens, etc., in places I thought totally devoid of keeper finds. The depths on many were breathtaking.

I have never found a VLF machine deeper than the Tejon (when used with similar coils).

Let me explain deeper. Deeper is the ability to deliver a clearly discernible signal at a greater depth than other machines no matter what the selling price.

Some machines might in a special controlled environment sound a target deeper than the Tejon, but usually such tests can be very misleading. Out in the real world of treasure hunting one can’t dig what one can’t distinguish from a mass of spurious (false) signals.

Tesoro machines QUICKLY communicate CLEARLY distinguishable STABLE signals. You can easily tell most trash from treasure once you learn the language of the model in question.

My Machine

I had heard from others about the depth of the machine and also read where some folks had trouble with it. The day I received it, I did not experience any problems. I had no trouble ground balancing and got used to its occasional little click it made. (I dug a 1811 half cent and an 1815 large cent the first day I used it)
I've read reviews where this thing is deep, the reviews are true. I've dug a half reale which is very small at 10 inches, Indian head penny on edge at8 inches. I hunt civil war relics and have dug buckshot at 5 inches easy.

The machine is one tone, but as you use it the more the one tone has several different sounds to it, which I know sounds wacky, but it is true. It does a good job finding good stuff in nails, and I would recommend the 5.75 concentric coil for the trashy hunting. I also suggest good headphones.

I has a little bit of problems with it a couple months ago where it was having some incidental chattering and sent it back to the factory. It has a lifetime Warranty, Tesoro re-calibrated it and sent it back to me in a couple of weeks and it works great. It don't have a screen on it and my opinion is if you rely on a screen you will miss a lot of good stuff. With this machine if it sounds good dig it, yes you will dig a few horseshoes, but you will also dig the eagle cuff button at 8 inches with no problem.

If mine would get destroyed I would get another one to replace it. I give it a 5
