Very Nice Unit
I had an MD back in the '70's and caught the bug again after seeing a few guys on the beach. I read all I could about the different detectors and although I was going to get the Ace 250, I bought the Whites at a local shop. Price was good because of the $50 coupon and got another $25 off from manager.I also bought because I was able to see the unit and hold it. But one of the real selling points was that I was told that Whites gives approx 50% when you trade in (must be in good condition).
I really like this unit. I am a novice and was able to be up and running in 15'. I had a basic understanding of the controls and after about 1/2 hour in the field was able to use all the options... it's that easy.
One of the items I found was an old type of "fishing reel". Have never seen one of these before. Metal with scalloped edges and the line still on it.
The ID, depth and especially pin-point are very accurate. The LCD display is large and very easy to read. Also this unit is very lightweight. Could easily use it all day.
I am anxious to use it at the beach soon since digging soft sand is easier than digging soil that has been sitting in 90+ degree heat ;).
Overall a great product and maybe someday, I will trade-in for more advance unit.
