1280 X A Water Blood Hound

I was introduced to the 1280 in 1984. Hunting the dark murky bayou's in SW La. It was like a Blood Hound singing out when he treed his prey. This water dog is unreal in Fresh or salt Water. When in comes to Land hunting, on wet ground or in the rain, it has reached depths of 17" for me. My Favorite find was on land after a hard rain at a old school play ground. School had many years ago and only flat ground remained. I found a Rosary Bracket with 2 charms, one of the charms are a locket. Charm is made of silver and locket has sapphire stones inlaid. I now own 2 1280 X detectors. I have tried several other waters detectors, and I found no comparison to the 1280.
Turn it on, set the sensitivity and go. I like how it mounts on your hip for diving or snorkeling and works well with a Chest harness. Head pones are comfortable and have a clean crisp sound on even the faintest signals. It is a little heavy on land to swing all day, but after mounting it on hip or in chest harness, this makes it a all day hunting monster. If you want water and land, you have got to try the 1280 X before you spend one dollar. I believe you will be calling it your Water Blood Hound...
