Description: DetectorPro Headhunter Pirate You are looking at the most compact amphibious metal detector in the world. Not only does this metal detector contain today's most innovative electronics, it is the first detector that has all the electronics built into the headphones. By eliminating a control housing, weight of the detector is significantly reduced and so is your arm fatigue. When you travel, the Headhunter also takes up very little luggage space. All of this is possible because of our innovative microcircuitry and packaging. The Headhunter has been engineered to perform in both salt and fresh water, but it is also just as effective on land as well. The headhunter is a true universal application metal detector and will open up a whole new world of excitement for you. Tens of thousands of valuables are continuously lost each year and now you can start finding them! Check out the new updates for the improved model!

An Overlooked Wonder!
I own a Pirate, as well as much more expensive "amphibious" machine, and I can tell you that the Pirate is every bit as good as the other unit. It has outstanding sensitivity, and the discrimination is very responsive and easy to set. It is also very stable, and seems to have depth capabilities that rival any other machine. Service from DetectorPro is also outstanding. If you are looking for a light-weight machine for wading OR land hunting, this is it. Battery life seems to last forever, also. In my opinion, this is a 5 star machine.Average rating:5.0 based on 2 reviews

Gets the Job Done!
I have owned a Pirate since back early in the summer of '08. First time out, I found a gold ring, then several more followed. This is the easiest machine you will ever use. Learning curve is ZERO. The Pirate is sensitive enough to find anything that the "top of the line" machines will, and while I was "playing" with mine in the yard one evening, there was a thunderstorm WAY, WAY, off. All I could see was a very faint "blip" of light. My Pirate actually sounded off(chirped) with each blip of lightning. Hunting at a lake where there is a buried cable a fair distance from where I was hunting(going all the way across the lake), I could hear the faint "pulsing" current(not bad enough to mess me up). Anyway, my point is that this machine is sensitive enough with pre-set sensitivity to get the job done, and will keep up with any of them! I really like mine!Average rating:5.0 based on 2 reviews
