the XLT SPECTRUM...........

What can i say.
reliable, easy to understand, short learning curve, depth-very very good machine for beginner to the serious pro..
I have used the XLT, with no problems or break-downs of any kind. I'm retired and I'm out most every day. In a little over 1 year I've recovered well over 1000 quarters alone. not to mention hundreds of dimes, halves, hundreds of pennies as old as 1917, and large coins as well. Many rings and silver trinkets, way too many to mention. I work areas around old sites, parks, and sites that as a kid are gone now.
So I guess for me my XLT supplies me with all I am looking for in a great and strong detector..I LOVE MY XLT SPECTRUM......BUD....

White's XLT

A few years ago, i enjoyed casually hunting with my White's Classic detector. I didn't find anything too good, so I decided to upgrade. I went to my local White's dealer and purchased an XLT. That day i went in my backyard to try it out. I was amazed how the screen told you what was in the ground. When the screen said quarter, it was a quarter. If it said penny, it was usually a penny. After hunting all summer, i was very very happy with the way it performed. One of the best features are the turn on and go programs. The machine comes with pre programmed settings that each fit your own hunting style. If you want to go for coins, you can choose the coin setting which discriminates all iron readings. If you are relic hunting, you can choose the relic mode which has less discrimination and a little more depth than the other settings. I also enjoyed the depth of the machine. I found coins at 6-7 inches regularly and was surprised at how crisp and clean the tone was. I also enjoyed the fact that you could change settings on the detector and create your own program with its own name.

Overall, i love this machine and wouldn't give it up for any other. In my first full year of detecting i found my share of silver coins and 50+ wheat pennies. If you are looking for a higher end machine with great depth and discrimination, look no further than the white's XLT.

XLT, Best I've Ever Used!!

I recently bought an XLT to upgrade my machine and it was the best purchase I have ever made!! The XLT's ease of use is such that it can be successfully used right out of the box. I took it to one of my "cashed out" sited and managed to recover the old coins that I knew were there. 3 Half Dimes, a large cent, two cent piece and a seated dime; all found in just one month of owning this great machine! I would definitely recommend purchasing this machine. You definitely will not be sorry you did.

XLT detector

I have had my XLT for a number of years. I have found that it is a good machine. Just turn on , pick out the program you want...Coins, Beach , relic, jewelry and install, then go. There are lots of setting that you can change, but for starting out the pre set factory will work good. I like the VCO feature the best because it makes the tones higher when pin pointing an object. Since I have a loss of hearing this helps out allot. This machine is easy to use. I have downloaded about 10 different programs from the web from people who have this model and all of them find coins. I have been very pleased with the performance of this machine. It does take a little getting use to but after reading the manual it all works out. I would tell anyone I meet that this is a good machine. My results have been good....Buster..
